    Dr Keith Nicholl - Paediatrician

Keith is Director and Paediatrician at Keith Nicholl Medical Centre. He set up the clinic in 2005 with the idea of gathering together a team of like minded people who would deliver quality, informed care with a strong, family-centred basis. This continues to be our mantra.

He was born in Northumberland, UK but has spent most of his life in the Tayside region of Scotland.

After a career as an aeronautical engineer he decided to switch to medicine and qualified from the University of Dundee in 1980. He completed his postgraduate training in paediatrics in Scotland. He is a general paediatrician with a special interest in infectious disease.

Whilst in the UK he combined his clinical work with teaching clinical paediatrics and has taught medical students, nurses and midwifes from most of the Scottish medical schools. This is carried on to the present where medical students from UK come to the clinic for their elective studies.

Dr Richard Jones - Family Medicine

Richard qualified as a doctor in 2000 from University of Wales, College of Medicine. He worked in New Zealand for a year and then commenced a surgical training program in Wales, however, operating all night meant not seeing his family, so he changed careers and became a GP (family medicine specialist).  Being a keen rugby player, marathon runner and anything mountain or water-sports related he also pursued an interest in sports medicine and gained postgraduate qualifications in sport and exercise medicine.

He has held a variety of posts in the UK including being a partner in a busy Welsh Valleys GP practice and working for the 1 Rifles Regiment in the British military.

Richard relocated to Dubai in 2011 to take up a medical post with Emirates Airline where he spent 6 years before becoming the newest member of the Keith Nicholl team. When asked about his new role he replied "so far it’s been great, the clinic ethos of patient centred, good medicine and only indicated investigations is not only refreshing, in Dubai, but extremely rewarding".

Having hung up his rugby boots Richard now spends much of his time outside of work with Delyth, his wife, and his 2 children, Oliver 8 and Amelia 7.  Any time he can sneak away from Dad duties you’ll find him watching sport!
